Overseas routes...

It’s a shame this site is only UK … but as it’s OS that’s understandable! Any other sites like this for other countries ?

In the meantime, great site, the Hand Drawn Maps Association has one of our favourite overseas walks on… about an hour, 4-5 miles…

Excellent site! Very simple to follow too. I’ve created the walk in this version already : http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1885298 Thanks cyclome.

    Have you tried http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/

Saved routes are given URLs like http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=404160

You can plot and save your own routes world wide and show them overlaid on street, satellite or hybrid maps. It lets you plot very detailed routes and provides mileposts and total distance. There’s even a basic elevation profile showing climbs and descents (may not be reliable depending on availability of height data) – shame it doesn’t appear to give total height climbed.

There’s an export to GPX option too.
