Ben Lomond 26/3/2008

Parked at the Rowedennan Car Park.

Conditions at the bottom of Ben Lomond are good. Cold and light snow.

Started at around 11 o clock a.m. and started through the forest to the turning point along the ben’s ridge. There is a little snow on the ground.

Further up, at around 2000 foot conditions get more severe. Moderate snow fall, ground covered. I continue up path with snow turning more to painfull ice.

Summit very nice. No views of course.

Unfortunately conditions are too icy under foot to continue down the ptarmigan way, perhaps next time.

On way back down clouds clear offering wonderful views to Loch Lomond.

Arrive back at 14:30
