Well done, that’s not a bad time. Your right about Ingleborough, especially when there’s hundreds slowly slogging up the narrow path. Still haven’t managed clockwise – had to stop short of Pen-y-ghent recently because of the bad weather, but will do it this Summer hopefully.

Just completed the anticlockwise route. As a team of novices I think we did OK to get round at all…as it was we managed 11 hours exactly. Nobody warned us about the almost vertical climb up to Ingleborough…that’s where my knees went. I think the clockwise rout might have given more opportunity to recover between Whernside & Pen-y-Ghent…but the climb down might have proved a little too much for us beginners.
