This walk starts at the car park at the top end of the reservoir. It's necessary to use the road skirting the reservoir to the north, be careful because there are some bends with no paths. Look out for the footpath sign by the sharpest bend. Don't take the obvious sign pointing you across the middle of a field, continue straight along the sandy lane. This takes you alongside the water, although it's only visible at one point. Emerge at a road, follow this past the phone mast, pick up the footpath on the left just past Bondwood Farm. Follow the path across the racetrack and down into woods. Find your way past Carvers Rocks and out onto the straight bridleway which takes you back to the start.
