This is a nice walk and great for families and dog walkers. Leave the carpark heading towards Calshot keeping the Isle of Wight on your right hand side. Walk along the beach. Along here there are some reminders of the part that Lepe played in the D-Day landing. There are leaflets and posters on display in the visitors centre near the entrance to the lower car park. Retrace your steps and there is a path off to the right through some gorse bushes which takes you back to the upper part of the park. On a sunny day there are great views over the Isle of Wight and it's a good place for watching the round the island race. There is a a great play area and a large grassed area near the top car park which is good for ball games, kite flying picnics. There is a cafe and toilets near the lower car park. If you only planning a short visit please be aware the minimum parking charge is £1.50 for 2 hours parking. More information can be found by searching for Lepe Country Park.
