At this point, cross the road and take a footpath over the lock at the entrance to Shoreham Harbour (dismount). You then emerge onto Basin Road. On the sea front (yes, at last you have reached the sea!) you will find Carat's Cafe, a great spot to sit outside in the sun (or rain), have a cuppa and a bacon butty.
