  1. Blanchland Circular (route)
    A good day's walking across varied terrain, a nice introductory hike for newcomers with obvious paths, though the forest paths can be tricky depending if logging is occurring.
  2. Killhope Law (Circular) (route)
    From near Allenheads, a long steady climb to the shooting cabin and then on to the Trig point on Killhope Law. A short navigation test to hit the track leading down the the minor road, then onto Carrshield Moor. A right turn at the crossroads and follow the path contouring along the side of the moor towards Spartylea before dropping back down through various farms back to the starting point.
