    A pleasant circular route encompassing a dramatic section of Hadrian's Wall and the summit of Windshield Crags (345m). From Once Brewed Information Centre follow the Millitary Road to the deserted barn on your left. Head South over Brackies Burn and continue South-West over the moorland. After passsing two derelict cottages join the lane your left and go westward. When you reach the road nearby turn off onto the signed footpath towards Hill Top Farm and rejoin the road again shortly. Follow the road northwards over the Millittary Road towards Caw Gap. Following the wall ascend Winshield Crags and descend to a junction with a small road. From here head South back to the Visitor Centre. The nearby Twice Brewed Inn serves hot food daily-making it a useful pit stop for meals pub lunches to light baguettes.
