A fantastic journey through two of Arran's most beautiful and dramatic glens via a mountain pass. There is a short section of scrambling up a chimney formed by a volcanic intrusion on the Glen Sannox side of The Saddle that adds interest. Note: The burn crossing at the top of Glen Rosa can be tricky after heavy rain.

Isle of Arran MTB Clauchlands route

Red graded route using lots of natural singletrack, hard going in places, rooty, muddy and great fun. Leave Brodick through Corriegills, cross the road and head south into Lamlash. Follow the road out of Lamlash picking up singletrack running above the road all the way to Brodick.

Blue graded route on natural singletrack and forest roads, quite hilly but worth the stunning views, best anti-clockwise.

Holy Isle

A stunningly beautiful Isle set in Lamlash Bay, owned by Budhist Monks as a Centre for World Peace. Catch the tiny ferry to the visitor centre, head straight up onto the ridge, over the double summit and back down to the coast at the south end of the Isle, return on the coast path admiring superb Budhist artworks along the way.
