    Starting in the centre of Kentmere village, this route follows the western side of the valley as far as Kentmere Reservoir and then returns along the eastern side.
  6. Black Combe from Whicham (route)
    A steady ascent of Black Combe, starting just north of Silecroft and following a footpath through Whicham and Kirkbank, then on to the open fell. After a short but steep section the rest of the climb is fairly gentle. The descent follows the same path but in reverse.
  7. Great rigg and Fairfieds (route)
    Brilliant views But steep drop near grisdale Hause ( not advisable to walk down in snowy conditions )
