  1. Carlisle to Conwy Cycle (route)
A multi day tour passing through over half a dozen counties and many sublime landscapes.
  2. Tyrfan and Bristly Ridge (route)
One of the best easy scrambles in Snowdonia. Terrific views, some exposure - but route finding generally straightforward and no real technical difficulties
  3. Journey over to Lake Vyrnwy (route)
With spectacular ascents and descents through many hidden valleys this route arrives at lake vyrnwy to give a gentle ride around the level roads. Mainly going along the back lanes attention must be kept at all times for obstacles including steep unfenced hairpin bends, cattle, gates, farm vehicles and landslides!
  4. Conwy - Tal y Fan - Llangelynnin - Henryd - Conwy (route)
This walk goes up to the rugged top of Tal y Fan and returns via the ancient Llangelynnin Church in an area of many standing stones and burial chambers. The return to Conwy could be of interest as an alternative approach to the castle for Cambrian Way walkers. Check a 1:25000 map for a clearer view of the footpath sections.
  5. Training Run Feb08 (route)
16 miles and 8500ft route over Glyders, Crib Goch, Cryb y Ddysgyl, Elidir Fawr and Y Garn. Start and finish at Ogwen.
  6. Rhinog Fawr without the pain (route)
This is the easier way up Rhinog Fawr, avoiding most of the rough heather and rock terrain
  7. Best view in Snowdonia, and an easy way up Moel Ysgyfarnogod (route)
The obvious way to tackle Ysgyfarnogod is to climb up Clip and follow the ridge. I've tried that and got beaten back by the vegetation. This route offers a gentle walk along a grassy path that was a miners track. All the way there are superb views of Snowdonia, from the Llyn peninsula to the peaks of Blaenau Ffestiniog, with the estuary and Port Meirion below.
  8. Aran Fawddwy wildcamp (route)
If you live far away, this backpack route makes a good three day trip.
  9. Llandrillo college to Snowdon (route)
A challenging walk through dramatic scenery in North Wales. Best attempted in summertime with favourable conditions
  10. Y Garn and the Glyders (route)
A high route on the Glyders which has great views of the Ogwen valley and the Snowdon horseshoe
