  1. Hannington Circular (route)
A gentle 4.5 Km route along a well defined path.
  2. The Wassand 6 Mile Circular (route)
Gentle flat route. If travelled by car, park in Seaton Car Park (next to the Swan Inn) - this is a public car park, not the pub's. Good views of Hornsea Mere leading to Hornsea. Then through Hornsea, onto the old railway line. Turn off this near Goxhill, then it leads to pleasant open farmland returning back to Seaton Pub for a pint of bitter. (The Swan Inn is a CAMRA pub!)
  3. Penmaenpool to Barmouth (route)
Penmaenpool to Barmouth and back on the old railway line
  4. Cycle Woking - Quiet route with 4 mild Hills (route)
This is quite a nice circular route for people in Woking who want to tackle a few hills without having to go out towards Guildford. There are 2 hills almost back to back in Row Town then there's a short hill up past St-Peters Hospital in Chertsey. You pass a nice pub (The Red Lion) in Chobham and another nice pub (The Cricketers) in Horsell. Horsell village High Street is the final hill up to the Church (another pub :-) ) then about a mile or so to warm down as you head back into Woking.
  5. Nent Valley Family Ramble (route)
This is the ideal route for a gentle country ramble, whilst avoiding difficult terrain it takes in beautifal, contrasting landscapes. Park by the second River Nent crossing east of Alston. Follow the footpath on your left and follow the meandaring yet occansionly ferocious River Nent until you reach a bridge on your right. Cross the bridge and continue past Corby Gates Farm (beware of the cows in the preceeding field) until reaching the picturesque country village of Blagill. Turn right and continue along the road leading south out of Blagill until you reach the crossing by which you parked. Alternativeley continue to the market town of Alston and return as shown.
  6. Cloth Cap Club Knighton circular walk (route)
A four to five hour walk at gentle pace with lunch up and down the border, half in England, half in Wales. Stay at the George and Dragon in Knighton and you may one day get to hear the Cloth Cap Club singing!
  7. burley woodhead to ilkley (route)
This route should only take about an hour and a half. I find it is best before 8am so that you get the moor to yourself! There are some steep bits but not really a difficult walk.
