Excellent for those with no cars available to them and they must use public transport.

From here you can either take path straight back to Pitlochry or, for a longer more scenic walk take the track that goes around Loch a Choireand navigate back to car park.

Ben Lomand *tourist*
(route)
You can start this somewhat easy route from the car park at the very end of the road. Follow the path through the forest and up onto the ridge. Simply follow this *ridge* to the summit. Come back down they way you came or venture down the Ptarmigan route provided you have the experience.
This is a wonderful route in the snow for those who have the required experience.

Kips and Scald Law
(route)
A decent length route allowing you to see some moor land and the highest point in the Pentlands Regional Park. There are some steep parts but well worth the climb with beautiful views over Edinburgh and across to Fife and Ben Lomond on a good day.

Stoneymollan
(route)
A strenous yet rewarding walk up country lanes through farm, forest and moor with breathtaking views over the loch towards Ben Lomond.
From Cardross Station head towards the church and turn left then right up onto the main road and right again up Kirkton Road.
Continue along the lane until you bear left at Auchensail farm.
Follow the lane further to Darleith Farm and bear left again onto another lane.
Walk to the end of the lane, onto a track going through the woodland to the summit of Stoneymollan.
Procede down the hill, first on a path, then a road, crossing the A82 over a footbridge.
Head further till the road reaches a junction, turn left and go down the road to the entrance of Loch Lomond Shores.
The SPT line encompasses both Balloch and Cardross, making it fully accessible via. public transport. Within Loch Lomond Shores Jenner's Cafe or pubs elsewhere in Balloch are ideal places to stop for lunch.

Grey Mare's Tail & Loch Skeen
(route)
Park at the visitors centre (or on the grass at the side of the road) and follow the path on the right hand side of the burn to the shore of Loch Skeen.
At the loch, cross to the left hand side of the burn and follow the faint path (W then NW) up the hill.
At the top keep following the path NNW to the summit of Firthybrig Head.
Once at the summit head ENE along the path to the summit of Lochcraig Head.
The path then leads back down the east side of the hill along side an old stonedyke wall. The path will then lead down to the original path at the southern end of the loch although watch out after heavy rain as the ground can be very boggy.
Can also make for a nice bike ride from Moffat and then a walk up to the Loch.
